Winter Hedgerow

Deep slumped vessel

This work is inspired by the winter landscape that I see from my studio. The rising sun can be seen through the wiggly branches, whilst the top boughs are severed to a straight line by the farmer. I fired this piece in the kiln five times and then, carefully, cold-worked it to achieve the effect you see today.
