Description
One of several pieces in a collection of sculptural decorative glass vessels inspired by the textures found at an abandoned croft on the Isle of Harris.
Outside, the tin roof is slowly rusting, being reclaimed by nature and the elements. Inside, now a shelter for sheep, the layers of paint and wallpapers show the choices made by the people who lived in it for many years. I have visited this croft three times now, each time it is more derelict than the last, leaving me to wonder who lived there and why did they leave and if it will still be there next time I visit.
