Lavender

This bespoke splashback was inspired by the view from the clients’ kitchen-diner, which overlooks a lavender hedge alive with bees. After experimenting with several samples to capture the perfect lavender hue, I created this striking piece. The bees are cut from fine copper sheet and suspended between the glass layers, adding depth and movement to the design.

As with all commissions, my clients were invited to view the glass before its final firing, giving them the chance to make small adjustments and feedback.
